About Me
Olga is an Esquimalt resident who is passionate about social justice, food security and public policy. She lived in many parts of the world and settled in beautiful Esquimalt in 2007. She became active in the community shortly after she moved to Esquimalt and she worked with individuals and families from different cultures and backgrounds.
Olga was appointed to the Environmental Advisory Committee in January 2013 and she is the founding president of Esquimalt Community Gardens Society. She joined Esquimalt Residents Association and Esquimalt Neighbourhood House Society as a board member last fall to foster a healthy and vibrant community. Olga developed and co-facilitated a community kitchen program for Aboriginal families at risk and empowered participants by improving access to affordable and healthy food choices. Olga believes in public service and for the past two years she has worked in the Esquimalt- Juan de Fuca Constituency office assisting constituents with federal matters.
Olga has a Women’s Studies and Political Science degree from the University of Victoria. She lives with her husband Juan in the Viewfield neighbourhood. Olga is fluent in English, Hebrew and Russian. In her spare time she practices yoga, enjoys cooking and spends time with her family and friends.
